Culinary Arts Intern | The participant will learn more about the hotel, its core values, policies and standard operating procedures. Network with hotel staff members, receive a training checklist and develop cross-cultural awareness. Learn to be independent, adapt to the new environment, practice professionalism towards team members and enhance communication skills | The participant will attend the New Hire Orientation which includes the following: company overview, property tour, discuss the hotel policies and procedures, customer service and safety standards. | The participant will be assigned hands on, mentored training activities within the Garde Manger station and hot banquet kitchen to learn and develop skills and knowledge for high volume kitchen production and organizational methods. | The participant will be assigned hands on, mentored training activities related to the training site’s main kitchen and its functions to gain skills and knowledge of the host site’s culinary operations. | The participant will learn the many nuances of the Pastry Station and service. The participant will be trained to make pastries, cakes, and desserts, They will recreate these to the specifications and standards of the supervisor.
