Culinary Trainee – | Participants will rotate though various Culinary phases such as Orientation, Casual Dining, Signature Dining & Banquet Kitchen. | Participants will learn skills from top level Chef’s in this industry, and be trained to work in a fast paced kitchen environment. | All previous learned skills, and will allow the intern to take more of a leadership role in the areas they are assigned. In addition this will also teach inventory control principles for a restaurant. | The participant will be assigned hands-on activities within Kalahari Resort’s signature dining kitchens, which in Pennsylvania include Double Cut Charcoal Grill, B-Lux Grill & Bar, and Sortino’s Italian Kitchen. | Responsibilities: | -Rotate through assigned culinary phases, including Orientation, Casual Dining, Signature Dining, and Banquet Kitchen. | -Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating according to established recipes and quality standards. | -Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety regulations. | -Support daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment. | -Participate in inventory control, including proper storage, labeling, and stock rotation. | -Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times. | -Demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, and effective communication with kitchen staff. | -Take on increased responsibility and leadership tasks as skills and experience develop. | -Assist in various signature dining kitchens, including Double Cut Charcoal Grill, B-Lux Grill & Bar, and Sortino’s Italian Kitchen, as assigned.
