Culinary Intern Job Description:
– Assisting chefs in the preparation of meals, including washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.
– Learning and applying food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
– Assisting in food presentation and garnishing dishes before they are served.
– Learning to prepare basic dishes under the supervision of experienced chefs.
– Assisting with the cleaning of the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment.
– Storing food and ingredients properly to maintain freshness and comply with health regulations.
– Assisting with inventory control, including checking deliveries for food quality and quantity.
– Observing and learning from kitchen staff to improve culinary skills and gain professional experience.
– Rotating through various kitchen stations to gain exposure to different aspects of the culinary operation.
Baker Intern Job Description:
– Mixing dividing and oven work on the cake sheet line.
– Training other associated as needed.
– Maintaining high standards for product quality and following safety regulation.
– Assist any production duties under direction of CK Manager and supervisors.
– Help with cleaning down the equipment(s)/mop daily when finished.
– Help prepare dough, mix cream as needed.
– Packaging cakes and store away to be sent out to appropriate stores.
