Rooms Division: | To receive on-hands training of housekeeping operations; to receive detailed list of duties and responsibilities including hotel and department policies and procedures; to receive detailed information of housekeeping department and introduction of other departments. | Learn to assist with day-to-day management of the Housekeeping department; The management staff will train the participant in effective and successful communication skills, which include proper use of memos, emails, reports, briefing techniques, conflict management, proper presentation of feedback, problem solving methods and customer interaction skills. The participant will learn the importance of all above mentioned communication skills as a key factor to a smooth running of the department and to be a successful manager/leader. | This position also includes Front Desk: | Front Desk Rotation | Please see placement plan for further details. | – Train in all areas of the Rooms Division | – Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner | – Learn to receive and respond to guest requests, consistently demonstrating high levels of customer service | – Train with leaders across multiple Rooms departments to perform tasks as needed | – Follow all cash handling procedures per Hotel policy | – Learn to manage guest inquiries in a timely and efficient manner | – Ensure compliance of all Sonesta’s standards | – Train to achieve departmental targets | – Ensure cleanliness of work areas | – During your training, ensure to be in compliance with all Hotel health and safety policies | – Perform all other reasonable duties as needed
