Front Desk Intern: | The participant will spend time in various areas of the front office (PBX & Front Office) , the participant will be taught the essential elements of supervisory role, overnight hotel operations, night audit and advanced levels of guest service with hands-on learning opportunities and shadowing the department’s supervisors. | – Block rooms in Property Management System | – Reduce ‘One Night Holes’ | – Balance Inventory | – Process Advance Deposits and cancellation refunds | – Use PBX operating system | – Sit in on weekly operations leadership meetings to ensure adequate understanding of rooms needs | – Work with sales teams on blocking groups | – Ensure No Shows are billed and reinstated if necessary | – Set VIP rooms and amenities | – Email blast via email platforms
