Culinary Trainee: | At Kalahari Resorts & Conventions the kitchens are great places to work! Hone, learn, and show off your culinary flair as you prep and cook in one of our four kitchens – Sortino’s Italian Restaurant, B-Lux Grill & Bar, Banquets Kitchen, Great Karoo Breakfast Buffet, and Cincos Ninos Mexican Restaurant and MAC’s gourmet mac n cheese. | Train and cross train in various kitchens that cover Americana cuisine, fine dining, banquets and conventions, and everything in between | Ensure that all food products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking, and presentation standards. | Kitchen equipment to be operated, but not limited to are: | – Flat grill, Pasta well, Steam table, Browning oven, Cheese chopper/grater, Steam jacket, Ovens, Top Burners, Pizza and Dessert Cooler, Slicer, Broiler, Steamer, and Knives. | Each Advanced Culinary Rotational Trainee will be given a variety of supervisory tasks to further your education.
